This project is about a closet that houses UltraViolet -C (UVC) rays in which a wide range of items can be sanitized before their usage. Ultraviolet light is usually used to quickly sanitize surfaces where other disinfectants prove ineffective. However, direct exposure to UV rays poses a threat to the eyes and skin, potentially bringing about sunburn and retina damage. The sanitizing closet contains proximity and ultrasonic sensors that will start the sanitization process when an item is placed inside. Timers are used to control the duration of the disinfection. The closet will be able to completely disinfect objects in a few minutes, and provide numerous safety features to stop it from working when it senses the presence of a person or an animal. The device can be used in locations or organizations where there is a need to sanitize items ( clothing, footwear, etc.) in places such as houses, hospitals and hotels.

The UVC sanitizing closet will play a significant role in promoting health, safety, and hygiene. By effectively eliminating harmful microorganisms, it will contribute to a cleaner and safer environment
